Here is a checklist for how to prepare your home for “Show Ready” condition:


  • Be sure the entrance to your home is clean and inviting
  • Keep the lawn mowed and the steps swept
  • Store hoses neatly and be sure sprinklers don’t water the walkways
  • Repair gates, fences, and sidewalks


  • Keep the floors clean and swept
  • Store or neatly arrange tools and supplies


  • Replace shower curtain if necessary
  • Repair grout and caulking
  • Repair running toilet or faulty plumbing
  • Paint and repair cracks as needed
  • Put away personal items
  • Polish the floor, mirrors, and fixtures
  • Hang your best towels and open a fresh bar of soap
  • Freshen up with plants or flowers
